Given the amount of work that needs to be done, and the scale in which it needs to be done, raising funds through campaigns, donations and grants is very important to scale up and start new and bigger projects.

This can be done either by individual contributions or by raising funds for a particular project or for the corpus fund.

Raising funds for a cause has a few added benefits as well, if one puts it together with all the relevant information.

• We spread awareness, knowledge and information about an issue.
• We help by detailing what is being done towards helping that cause.
• We are able to inform our friends, relatives and colleagues about how they can in turn help, and
• It can be a learning and enriching experience for the children who are involved in the fund raising exercise.

Raising funds can also become an exponential affair whereby you inspire others to follow suit and they in turn have their own fundraising events, so maximize your impact by bringing friends, family, co-workers and colleagues together for fundraisers.

Such events can be a one-time affair or an event that happens at regular intervals and they can be done in many ways. Once you put some thought into it, you will come up with your own unique ideas, but one thing that we feel is a must is that the genuineness of the cause and the organization working towards it, is conveyed.

Here are some ways that funds can be raised:

• The simplest way is to inform friends, relatives and colleagues about an issue, the organization that is working towards helping that cause and request them to contribute.

• Arrange a presentation in a school, in your neighbourhood, at your workplace etc., where you go through a presentation and appeal for the attendees not only to contribute but also to join in helping the cause. (Please reach out and we will help by providing to you a presentation that you can use)
• Arrange an event like a tea party, a garden sale and such, in your home or a community hall with prior information to the attendees that its for a cause and if they will like to discuss about such issues and contribute towards it. (Maybe have an illustrative image on your TV screen)
